NO SHIPPING TO ARIZONA, DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE IN ARIZONA. For Auction, I have a RARE YELLOW FRUITED Muntingia calabura (jamaica cherry, strawberry tree) rooted cutting! FLOWERS on it NOW! will fruit quite fast, in less than 1y in most cases! keep warm, these came out of my greenhouse! above 45F and humid is good, but they have been exposed to 38F in my greenhouse already with no issues. the flavor is much like the common type, but some say, they have a flavor somewhat like a jelly belly buttered popcorn jelly bean, if you have ever tasted one…and i agree the trees hate cold weather, but can survive a brief frost….they die to the ground and come back from the roots. i like to grow them in pots and keep pruning them like crazy…you can keep that up for a long time, before the tree just gets too massive to deal with…at which time you can try to propagate it and have a smaller one , or sell it…that has been my strategy, but i love this fruit and always like to have them around to eat. appreciates acid pH, and good moisture in the soil, but eventual drainage. Loves full sun for best fruit, but can fruit in part shade! easy to fruit in a pot, but will eventually want to go in the ground, they can get over 15ft in the wild, but outside of their native range, they will grow slower and stay smaller (at least in FL, or Ca, but maybe not HI or PR, where it would grow faster!) The seedling for sale is the one in the photo Shipping is anywhere in the USA, but NOT ARIZONA Shipping is via USPS priority mail. I CAN NOT SHIP OUTSIDE OF USA (except for Bermuda, Puerto Rico, and Bahamas) I USUALLY SHIP WITHIN 2-4 DAYS OF RECEIVING PAYMENT thanks for visiting this page! On Oct-11-19 at 00:08:06 PDT, seller added the following information: these trees are not particular as to soil pH they can take acid, or alkaline, and they can handle drought and some flooding, but i like to give them good drainage, this tree can easily exceed 30ft in the wild, and in FL, they will need to be pruned heavily in a pot, and they don’t mind being pruned very hard. they fruit on new wood, so it doesn’t harm the tree, and productivity too much. please disregard the last few lines in my description, they were from a previous item that is related to jaboticaba, and they accidentally got included in this auction’s description.
