This listing is for individual specimens of Gobbler Sawtooth Oak (Quercus acutissima ‘Gobbler’) 3 years old trees 10-12″ tall. Gobbler Sawtooth Oak is a fast growing oak species well suited for shade trees as well as wildlife conservation plantings. As a shade tree this will mature to around 50 feet tall having an upright crown in youth becoming more rounded with age. The foliage is long, narrow with fine teeth and quite unlike the traditional oak leaf shape. Bark becomes dark and deeply furrowed with age giving it very good winter interest. It’s smaller stature makes it an ideal species for smaller yards and urban planting. In terms of wildlife conservation plantings, Gobbler Sawtooth Oak is a tree highly prized for its abundant acorns which are relished by deer, turkey, and other wildlife species. Nuts are reliably produced yearly with nuts smaller that that of a regular Sawtooth Oak. Shipping: Plants are shipped on the Wednesday following receipt of payment via USPS Priority. Shipping is calculated at $7.35 for the first tree and no additional shipping for multiple trees from this listing. If combining with other listings please contact me for combined shipping discount. In observance of the Christmdas and New Years holidays, orders received after 1:00pm central on Wed December 18 will ship on Wednesday January 8
