Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE AUCTION NOT OPEN TO BIDDERS FROM CA, OR, WA, or HI Abies koreana ‘Silberlocke’ or ‘Hortsmann’s Silberlocke’ is a treasured variety of Korean Fir that is desired by all who collect conifers and Japanese Maples. The needles on this fir are blue on top and white on the bottom and the needles curl up, showing the “silver” undersides on each branch. This gives this pyramidal conifer a stunning blue/silver appearance. An added feature of color are the cones, which emerge a blue green color, but turn a beautiful purple in color. This is a rather slow growing tree, but it time it will put on 8-12” a year and form a large specimen in the landscape. It can be pruned to keep it a smaller sized tree. Hardy within USDA zones 4-8. You are bidding on the actual tree that appears in the photographs. It is a 3 year grafted tree that is approximately 17 inches tall and 9 inches wide. IMPORTANT NOTE: This tree is grafted onto Abies firma rootstock. This ensures hardiness in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern States. This tree will be shipped in it’s 1 gallon container.
