1 package of 10 seeds A dry deciduous, spreading small tree with a slightly swollen, spiny trunk, palmate leaves and cream colored flowers. It is native to seasonally dry wood and scrublands in southern Mexico and Guatemala. The immature seeds are roasted and eaten, young leaves and fruits are boiled as a vegetable and the seed floss is used as a stuffing material. Also makes a good ornamental. Germination: Soak seeds for 24-48 hours in lukewarm water. Sow 1 cm deep into sowing mix + sand or perlite. Keep bright and moist but not wet. Germination takes 3-6 weeks.
